The project includes the supply of bio-waste pre-sorting equipment by 40% (of total bio-waste generated in the Municipality). It completes actions of DIADYMA SA for the supply of bio-waste pre-sorting equipment for all the Municipalities of the Region of Western Macedonia.
The project is consisted of the Work Packages:
- Home composting program, which included the supply of home compost bins.
- Biowaste Sorting at Source Program for residents and targeted ‘Large’ Producers
- Supply of biowaste collection equipment, including the supply of garbage trucks
- Information & Publicity Actions, for the awareness and participation of the citizens as well as the correct implementation of the separate biowaste collection systems.
The project is about to enter the tendering process.
