Enhancing Entrepreneurship and Competitiveness<\/u><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\nThe main goals of the national development policy are the upgrading, expansion and shift of the production base to environmentally friendly processes, the enlargement of the manufacturing sector, the interconnection with international markets as well as the support of the digital transformation of Greek SMEs, so that they can face international challenges and remain competitive.<\/p>\n
Digital transformation <\/strong><\/p>\nThe main objective is the adaptation of the Greek Industry and SMEs to the challenges of the 4th Industrial Revolution, by supporting the development and implementation of appropriate digital transformation plans. The goal is to transform the ICT value chain towards an extroverted, innovative, recognizable and sustainable critical mass of digital products and services, capable of creating innovative entrepreneurship and\/or introducing businesses from other sectors into the global, digital, value chains. Investments for the digital transformation of businesses (including, among others, tourism, modern culture and supply chain businesses), as well as their technological and organizational upgrading, with the aim of increasing domestic added value and entering into (new) international markets.<\/p>\n
Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) <\/strong><\/p>\nThe main aim is to improve the position of Greek production in the international markets, through the operational flexibility and performance of businesses, faster production speeds and the organization of partnerships and new business models in smart value chains based on environmentally friendly processes and products.<\/p>\n
Indicative Actions of the Program are the following:<\/u><\/em><\/p>\n\n- Supporting productive investments with an emphasis on innovation, technological adaptation, digital transformation and the shift to environmentally friendly processes and products<\/li>\n
- Increasing production of internationally tradable products and services<\/li>\n
- \u2022 Strengthening of new \/ start-up entrepreneurship with high added value<\/li>\n
- Upgrading and qualitative modernization of the tourist product<\/li>\n
- Supporting the development \/ adoption of innovations<\/li>\n
- Entrepreneurship support services and creation of a favorable business environment<\/li>\n
- Encouraging clusters and\/or collaborations of SMEs among themselves and\/or with larger enterprises<\/li>\n
- \u2022 Developing \/ Upgrading of entrepreneurship support structures \/ mechanisms<\/li>\n
- Environmental infrastructure \/ green development<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

\n- Improving business access to finance<\/u><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
The Programme is directed towards the maximum utilization of financial instruments. The strengthening of productive and\/or innovative SME investments, the establishment of start-up businesses as well as the support of small, mid-cap and small-cap companies to achieve individual goals (internationalization, green transformation), as well as some of the Access to Employment Actions can be implemented through the use individually or in combination with grants of the following financial instruments:<\/p>\n
\n- Equity and risk-sharing financing<\/li>\n
- Loans and guarantees with favorable terms<\/li>\n
- Co-investment financing for more mature production expansion and development investments, etc.<\/li>\n
- Thematic Funds (Internationalization, Green Transformation)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
<\/p>\n
\n- Human Capital Development in the context of developmental transformation<\/u><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
With the interventions in this context, the human capital of entrepreneurship (including self-employment) will be supported through the development of very small and small enterprises, with a priority on innovative business ideas, with the ultimate goal of creating sustainable jobs. The aim is also to support businesses and employees to adapt to the new corporal environment demands, through interventions of skills enhancement that shall contribute to the adaptation of businesses. In particular, the skills enhancement shall support the targeting of businesses to new markets, as well as the improvement of work organization and production in sectors, with a development perspective and high added value.
